New segment risks revealed in asset management and bank investigations

An asset management firm disclosed a new FCPA-related investigation last week.

The investigation involves an African country.

There are currently two asset management companies with ongoing FCPA-related investigations. The other investigation involves South America.

These investigations in the asset management industry are in addition to the eight ongoing investigations that have been disclosed in the banking industry.

One of the banking investigations, and the new asset management investigation, both involve the same African country.

This African country currently has three open FCPA-related investigations where it been identified in the disclosure. The third investigation is in the engineering and construction industry.

The three companies with investigations relating to this country are all headquartered in different countries, and only one is HQ’d in the United States.
